HondaJet wiring package contract awarded to GKN Aerospace

GKN Aerospace’s Fokker business has signed a contract with Honda Aircraft Company to manufacture the complete electrical wiring and interconnection system (EWIS) for the market-leading HondaJet.

HondaJet is the world’s most advanced light jet being manufactured in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Adriaan Leyte, Vice President of Business Development for GKN Aerospace’s Fokker business, said: “We are delighted to extend our involvement on this important and exciting program. This contract extension builds upon our successful relationship with Honda Aircraft and we are proud to be part of the team.”

GKN Aerospace also supplies the complete composite, lightweight bonded fuselage, the innovative, all-acrylic front and side windshields, and the empennage for HondaJet. The contract for the wiring systems strengthens GKN Aerospace’s position on this technologically advanced aircraft.
