Jetex Flight Support and the Oman Airports Management Company (OAMC) have entered into an agreement for the operation and management of the first-ever FBOs in Oman.

Jetex will develop two new FBOs at Muscat International Airport and Salalah International Airport respectively.

The agreement was signed by Adel Mardini, Jetex CEO & President, and Sheikh Aimen Al Hosni, CEO of Oman Airports, at the Jetex FBO Terminal during the Dubai Airshow. Operating from the airports' general aviation terminals, the newly-furbished FBOs are expected to open soon.

With Oman emerging as a key strategic aviation hub in the GCC market, the Muscat and Salalah airports have a combined capacity to handle 22 million travelers per annum.

"Jetex was chosen based on strict criteria with regard to quality and commitment to hospitality and reception that we are aiming to provide at our new airports in Salalah and Muscat," said Al Hosni. "The company provided the best presentation and has qualified to win the contract for the coming 10 years."

The new facilities join the flagship Jetex FBO Terminal in Dubai. "Jetex is delighted to be at the forefront of a new era for business aviation in Oman, said Mardini. "Oman is a crucial market for us in the region, and marks another milestone in our growth."
