Airbus Corporate Jet Centre – The specialist for your Airbus Corporate Jet

By Bruno Galzin, Head of Sales & Marketing

he Airbus Corporate Jet Centre’s (ACJC’s) skilled workforce of 215 employees has now delivered 18 VIP cabins for Airbus corporate jets, making it the leader in the ACJ319 and ACJ320 market.

Dedicated to providing quality cabin-outfitting and innovative packages of customised nose-to-tail services for Airbus ACJ Family aircraft, the Airbus Corporate Jet Centre is backed by the full resources of its shareholder, Airbus, the world's largest manufacturer of modern airliners.

Green aircraft completion typically brings cabin upgrade and refurbishment in following years. At Airbus Corporate Jet Centre, we are well placed to deliver the support and services that are essential for ACJ customers to maintain their asset at its highest level. This is especially true with new technologies, as VIP clients want the latest available communication and entertainment systems for their aircraft.

At ACJC, our aim is to provide Airbus Corporate Jet customers a comprehensive range of customised services, from interior design to cabin completion, and then cabin and airframe maintenance with our “VIP pass” package solutions, available for the ACJ family, including ACJ330 and ACJ340 aircraft.

The most important thing is to simplify and ease VIP customers’ operations with their aircraft, to help them

keep it flying and to help them to control their costs. Offering a customised one-stop-shop, including cabin and airframe maintenance, upgrade or refurbishment, spares management, continuing airworthiness and field support, is the best way to build a relationship with each customer, based on confidence and efficiency. With more and more Airbus Corporate Jetliners flying, ACJC’s duty is to be a leader in terms of services for ACJ customers.

To give customers the greatest peace of mind must be a permanent concern. For instance, to answer ACJ operator demands, we have signed an agreement with Snecma-CFMI to propose full engine service support for CFM56 engines. We have also signed a spare parts support agreement with a leading aircraft maintenance provider to offer our clientele comprehensive airframe support.

Modularity and cost-saving are also important concerns of VIP clients, especially governments. At ACJC, we propose a VIP Conversion Kit to operators who want to turn the conventional passenger layout of their A320-family aircraft into a combined commercial/VIP configuration. Based on two club-four areas and a row of four seats, this kit allows the forward cabin of the aircraft to sleep eight people, following a conversion process of less than eight hours, by a Part 145 maintenance organization.

A319 cabin concept by ACJC Some of VIP customers are relatively new to the aviation world, so with such nose-to-tail packages of cabin and airframe solutions, we are fully able to support Airbus corporate jet operators at every stage of their aircraft’s life. Clients are very appreciative of such a support.

The trend in VIP cabins is that customers ask for the latest technologies that they have at home, so our

future needs to include providing the latest in communication and entertainment systems. For this, R&D is the keystone, so ACJC has invested in a strong innovation team within its Design Office department.

For instance, we are the first on the corporate jet VIP cabin market to offer the highest image quality with a full HD system for TV screens in the VIP zone, thanks to a HDMI® wiring network. We are working on 3-D TV, and we will able to offer it to our customers soon, as well as Ipad remote controls. As for connectivity, the ACJC’s standard for Internet service is soon to be Swift Broadband with two 432 kbps channels. An Airbus ACJ320 delivered last December was the first to be outfitted with GSM onboard for in-flight mobile phone communications. As cabin upgrade is a key service for our ACJ customers, full HD zone, on-board Swift Broadband and GSM are available in retrofit too.

In cabin interior design, innovation is also a cornerstone. Our in-house designer keeps an eye on new trends and materials, drawing inspiration from the automotive sector, for instance. The aim is to make decorative noble elements – such as leather, wood and fabrics - coexist with pioneering solutions such as fibre-optics.

After completing eight cabins for prestigious customers in Asia, Europe and the Middle East, we are now working on several “green” Airbus Corporate Jets and several maintenance and refurbishment contracts for single ACJ VIP aircraft and government fleets. For our VIP clientele, the main goal is enhancing the quality, ergonomics and comfort of our cabins, as well proposing innovative systems and new features. The continuous improvement of our products is one of our main priorities.

ACJC’s clientele is worldwide, providing very interesting challenges in terms of cultural aspects, such as interior design and technologies. Having contracted with several clients in the Middle-East, we are also known as a key-player in emerging markets such as Eastern Europe and, of course, China. Last May, we delivered a VIP cabin to Deer Jet, which becomes the first Chinese operator to dedicate an Airbus Corporate Jetliner to VIP charter flights.

As a key player on the VIP ACJ market, Airbus Corporate Jet Centre is committed to excellence and quality, focusing on innovation and creativity in technologies and comfort.
