Springboard for expansion in South and Central America
Pattonair, the leading global supply chain solutions provider to the aerospace industry, is marking the 10th anniversary of its Brazil site, which will be the springboard for its expansion plans into South and Central America.
Pattonair’s Brazil site is co-located within Safran Helicopter Engines’ Rio de Janeiro facility, in line with Pattonair’s strategy of supporting customers globally, wherever they are located. It has two service contracts with Safran for supply chain solutions; in C Class parts and for warehouse management services, encompassing both OEM and MRO sectors on engines, such as Arrius and Makila.
Since 2008 the Brazil site has grown from an initial staff of three to 21. It now partners with Safran Helicopter Engines on lean initiatives and projects to continuously improve service and reliability to Safran’s end customers. Pattonair is a Safran Helicopter Engines Gold Supplier, recognised for guaranteeing the best performance and providing a real return on long-term investment.
At this year’s Farnborough International Air Show, Safran Helicopter Engines renewed Pattonair’s contract to 2025 for OEM and MRO parts support to 16 global Safran sites supplying over 6,000 C class parts to 180 locations worldwide. Pattonair also supports Safran Aircraft Engines, Safran Transmissions and Safran Landing Systems.
“Pattonair in Brazil is strategically positioned to support on-going growth in South and Central America both in the Aerospace and Defence sectors. This geographic expansion reflects Pattonair’s ambition to fulfil the role as supplier of choice to its target engines and systems market across the globe,” said Chris Houston, MD of USA, Pattonair.
Pattonair’s recent expansion has included establishing new entities and facilities in Poland, Japan, India and a number of new locations in the United States with the company looking to add more geographic territories in the coming 12 months. Pattonair serves a 2,000 plus blue chip customer base spanning engine, airframe and systems customers, including Rolls-Royce, GE, Pratt & Whitney, Airbus, MROs and the Aftermarket, from its global network of dedicated facilities.
Pattonair is the aerospace and defence industry’s leading global supply chain provider boasting a 40-year legacy of excellence and innovation in the sector. Headquartered in Derby, UK, it offers a global service though dedicated facilities in Singapore, China, Poland, Brazil, Canada and five cities in the USA.
