PrivateFly's integration with Skyjet creates 'world-leading' digital platform for private jet charter

Directional Aviation’s OneSky focuses its on-demand offering under the PrivateFly brand

On-demand charter broker PrivateFly has completed its integration with Skyjet, with the two companies now operating as a single entity under the PrivateFly brand, within Directional Aviation’s OneSky portfolio.

The move sees PrivateFly now double in size, as it moves to the forefront of digitally-led charter in both North America and Europe. It is now OneSky’s singular on-demand offering for private jet travel, sitting alongside fractional ownership provider Flexjet and jet card market-leader, Sentient Jet.

The integration has brought together PrivateFly’s US and European teams, together with Skyjet’s US sales team, primarily based in Boston as well as other locations across the US including New York and Dallas. At the helm of the larger entity is PrivateFly’s leadership team, headed by CEO Adam Twidell, a former Royal Air Force pilot who co-founded PrivateFly in 2008.Michael Hall

PrivateFly’s restructured USA sales team will be led by Michael Hall, who becomes Senior Vice President of Sales, following ten years with Skyjet and Sentient Jet. Skyjet was acquired by Directional Aviation in 2014, with PrivateFly’s acquisition announced in September 2018.

Adam Twidell, CEO of PrivateFly said: “This is a very exciting year for PrivateFly, as we ramp up our global presence and our offering. We’ve been working hard to integrate Skyjet’s excellent US-based sales team and restructuring our operation, to give us the optimal framework for this next phase of development. We’re increasing investment in our digital platform; our buying power is strengthened even further under OneSky as well as our emphasis on safety and service; but we retain our innovative spirit and distinctive culture.

"Passionate people remain at our core and our increased size gives greater career opportunities for our teams in the US and Europe. Being part of OneSky is opening up a number of ways we can develop unique products and aircraft access within our on-demand charter services, and we’re looking forward to enhancing the customer experience for both existing clients and new ones, wherever and whenever they need to fly.”

Andrew Collins, OneSky spokesperson comments: “The PrivateFly brand is now the singular focus for OneSky’s on-demand charter vision in both North America and Europe. For clients who want the flexibility and immediacy of on-demand private flights, there is no better solution - global, digitally-driven and market-leading in terms of size, best practice and customer service.”
