Baines Simmons, part of the Consulting & Training division of global aviation services group Air Partner, has welcomed Gareth Dore, Robert Chapman and Steve Dosman to its team of consultants.

Gareth, a former RAF Search and Rescue Pilot, will be supporting Baines Simmons’ STEP programme training, delivering Error Management and Investigation type courses. Gareth has been involved in safety roles throughout his career: in the RAF, this included appointments as Unit Flight Safety Officer, Flight Authoriser, Flight Supervisor, and Human Factors Facilitator. He holds a first-class degree in Information Management from Nottingham Trent University and is a fluent Spanish speaker.

Robert has specialised in risk management for over 25 years, working with a broad spectrum of industries across eight countries on multi-billion-dollar infrastructure developments. He will deliver training and consulting services in relation to the Safety Risk part of the Baines Simmons portfolio. Robert obtained a PhD in Risk Management from the University of Reading in 1998 and has been elected a fellow of the Institute of Risk Management, Institute of Commercial Management and Association for Project Managers. He is also a leading author on enterprise and project risk management and has also held roles at HS2, the Digital Railway Programme and SSE plc.

Steve joins Baines Simmons as an Initial Airworthiness (IAW) consultant and is an experienced design engineer with over 23 years working at a large DOA/DAOS Design Organisation. He is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society, a Chartered Engineer, and holds a first-class degree in Mechanical Engineering.
