IMT Medical Transport Limited (IMT Medical) has announced the sale of a majority interest in its business, alongside a substantial financial investment by Northern Ireland based, S.E.R.E Group.

The new venture with S.E.R.E Group brings together IMT Medical with S.E.R.E’s air transport company, Jet Assist (Aviation) Limited, the leading provider of FBO services and aircraft management at Belfast International Airport. With the significant investment from the S.E.R.E Group, IMT Medical will establish itself as a sector leader in road and air medical transport.

Founded in 2017, IMT Medical Transport Limited quickly established itself as a professional independent medical transport company with specialist skills within the organ donation transport sector.

Through S.E.R.E Group’s subsidiary business (SERE SsangYong), IMT Medical has taken delivery of the UK’s first SsangYong Rexton, Emergency Response Organ Transplant vehicle. This is the first vehicle in a £2.1 million fleet upgrade that will support IMT Medical’s ongoing contracts to a number of hospital trusts which includes transport for Manchester’s Organ Transplant Team, mental health patient transport services and outpatient support.

Accredited with ISO 9001, 27001, 45001, 14001 and Care Quality Commission registered, IMT Medical sets out to deliver the highest standards across the industry. IMT Medical also provides QualSafe accredited first aid and medical courses which are delivered by industry qualified and current professionals. Their investment in these accreditations and the development of a bespoke medical transport Command and Control IT system has provided IMT Medical with the platform to deliver excellence in patient care, customer service and safety.
