Lawrenceville, Georgia Sheltair opens its 16th FBO at Gwinnett County Airport |
Sheltair opened its 16th location, and 2nd Georgia location, at Gwinnett County Airport (LZU) on April 2nd.
Located on the northside of the Airport, the complex features an FBO Terminal and 208,000 square feet of hangarage ranging from GA t-hangars to 28’ door corporate hangars capable of accommodating aircraft up to and including the G-600 and Global 7500. The 34 acre campus includes a spacious aircraft parking apron for simultaneous movement and parking of the largest business aircraft.
“We have a great team and are working quickly to create the quality and customer service environment that our customers know and trust,” said LZU General Manager Johanna Echeto, an eight-year Sheltair veteran, who comes to Sheltair LZU from the company’s Orlando Executive FBO.
The LZU team is assisted in the opening by the company’s “Go Team”, bringing together position experts from across Sheltair’s network to assist in operating the base while the core LZU employee team is onboarded and trained to Sheltair’s detailed safety and customer service standards.
“Sheltair is excited to be adding its 2nd FBO in Georgia, especially in the Atlanta market, and looks forward to providing the same exceptional services as we do throughout our entire Network. We also look forward to engaging with our local community members”, said Leonel Rivera, Sheltair’s Senior Vice President of FBO Operations.
In acquiring the leasehold at Gwinnett County Airport, Sheltair made a commitment to the County Commission to invest in a $17m redevelopment plan that consists of upgrading all of the existing buildings, apron, and parking areas and construct a new FBO Terminal and office/restaurant spaces, all to be completed over the next 3 years.
