NBAA-BACE 2024

The Pink Jet to visit NBAA-BACE during Breast Cancer Awareness Month

The Pink Jet, a powerful symbol of strength, hope, compassion, resilience and community for breast cancer survivors and those who’ve lost loved ones to the disease, will be on display at the National Business Aviation Association’s Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE).

NBAAA-BACE takes place October 22nd-24th in Las Vegas, during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, offering attendees an opportunity to support The Pink Jet’s mission of spreading awareness, encouraging regular screenings and raising funds for organizations that help those with breast cancer.

The Pink Jet, an L-39 Albatros military trainer jet flown by Aerial Angels, can be found each day of the show at the convention’s aircraft display at Henderson Executive Airport (HND).

“Having The Pink Jet displayed at NBAA-BACE is remarkable, and we’re thrilled to showcase it as part of the largest business aviation event in the world, where tens of thousands of people will be able see it,” said Stephanie Goetz, a Pink Jet pilot whose mother battled with and survived Stage 3 breast cancer. “We hope to build support, inspire those in the fight against breast cancer and provide a beacon of hope to young girls and women in aviation.

“Purpose-driven machines like this bring people together for the greater good and build community in a big way,” she said, adding this is The Pink Jet’s NBAA-BACE debut. “We can’t fight breast cancer alone - being at NBAA-BACE will allow us the opportunity to share our mission, build community and support those affected by the disease.”

“Business aviation is on the front lines to help those in need, and The Pink Jet’s mission exemplifies the industry’s emphasis on giving back through support for humanitarian organizations,” said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen. “We are pleased to feature The Pink Jet at NBAA-BACE to help raise awareness for cancer research, and hopefully one day, a cure.”

Fund an Angel at NBAA-BACE

NBAA-BACE also is the venue for Corporate Angel Network’s (CAN’s) annual Fund-an-Angel event, the organization’s single-most important fundraiser of the year.

CAN facilitated more than 2,000 cancer patient flights in 2023, matching patients needing transportation to or from treatment with available seats aboard business jets. Those passengers were among the more than 68,000 cancer patient flights that the organization has arranged since its inception 42 years ago.

NBAA YoPros Giving Back

Business aviation’s leadership in supporting humanitarian causes will also be in focus during NBAA-BACE through the NBAA Young Professionals (YoPro) in Business Aviation group’s annual Helpy Hour, an event held during the show to support a philanthropic organization in the convention’s host city. This year, the YoPros are partnering with Project 150, which provides free support and services to homeless, displaced and disadvantaged high school students so they can remain in school, graduate and build bright futures.
