New OrleansInsight and inspiration drive a powerful 2025 Schedulers & Dispatchers Conference |
The National Business Aviation Association’s Schedulers & Dispatchers Conference (SDC) left an indelible mark on the industry’s 2025 event calendar, with unmatched opportunities for networking, learning and sharing new ways to navigate challenges, now and in the future.
The high-energy conference featured more than 430 exhibiting companies and more than 3,300 attendees, including 350 first-time participants.
“This year’s Schedulers and Dispatchers Conference reverberated with a passion for aviation, and a commitment to coming together and moving forward with a sense of shared purpose,” said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen. “We connected with each other, gained valuable insights from each other and invested in the industry’s future together.”
‘Gold-Medal Mindset’
The conference formally got underway with a keynote session featuring seven-time Olympic medalist Shannon Miller, who shared how her unique experience as a world-class gymnast and cancer survivor fuels her focus on a mindset centered on teamwork, resilience and a commitment to excellence.

“I built my career on the belief that success often goes to those who simply refuse to give up,” Miller said. “The lessons I learned through sports are some of the most important lessons I’ve ever learned. And it’s these lessons that make up what I like to call the gold-medal mindset. The great thing is that this is a mindset that anyone can achieve.”
Navigating Tomorrow, Today
NBAA Schedulers & Dispatchers Committee Co-Chairs Andrew Stylianou and Jennifer Dow shared their excitement with the keynote audience about the opportunities for innovation in their profession in a changing industry landscape.
“There’s never been a more exciting time to be a scheduler-dispatcher, and there’s no better event than this one for taking your career to a new level,” Stylianou said.
“For business aviation to thrive amid the emergence of new technologies, evolving safety standards and an increasingly-demanding global market, the industry must innovate faster than ever,” said Dow. “This conference provides the tools to navigate these and other challenges with strategic thinking and leadership.”
SDC2025 featured over 30 education sessions with expert guidance for managing a wide range of priorities inherent in today’s scheduling and dispatching profession. Two NBAA Professional Development Program (PDP) courses held at the start of the event set new attendance records.
An Essential Event
Exhibiting companies agreed that SDC was key to their business planning in 2025.
“We’ve been able to connect with our community, with our peers, with our customers, with those who are looking for opportunities to grow,” said Sunny Lopez, manager of aviation for Phillips 66 Aviation. “We are here to have those connections every year.”
Corporate Angel Network Vice President of Development Courtney Easton added, “It’s probably our best event. We’re in front of all of our partners, and we have an opportunity to meet new, potential partners.”
SDC2025 Honors
In another conference highlight, longtime scheduler and licensed dispatcher Joy Buoncuore was presented with the 2025 Schedulers & Dispatchers Outstanding Achievement and Leadership Award. Buoncuore serves as the supervisor of transportation scheduling for Constellation Energy.
Corporate Angel Network Vice President of Development Courtney Easton added, “It’s probably our best event. We’re in front of all of our partners, and we have an opportunity to meet new, potential partners.”
