Dassault EASy II Avionics upgrade delivered by RUAG Aviation
RUAG Aviation has successfully completed its first Dassault EASy II flight deck upgrade. The project was carried out on a Dassault Falcon 900EX at RUAG Aviation’s facility in Geneva, Switzerland.

EASy II is designed to simplify flight management tasks as well as to comply with upcoming regulatory requirements and corresponding operational changes. The system delivers superior safety standards with its improved take-off and go-around capability, as well as its Runway Awareness and Advisory System (RAAS). It provides unparalleled situational awareness both day and night, and under all conditions.

Further enhancing safety is EASy II’s SmartViewTM Synthetic Vision System (SVS). The SVS merges the terrain database of Honeywell’s enhanced ground proximity warning system (EGPWS) with Head-Up-Display (HUD) symbology, presenting it in a comprehensive, easy-to-understand format on the crew’s Primary Display Unit (PDU).

“The RUAG Aviation team successfully completed this integration in record time during a standard A/A+ check, significantly minimising the impact on the customer’s operating schedule,” says Bernd Heinrich, General Manager of RUAG Aviation’s Geneva facility. “We are extremely proud to be able to provide our customers with effective solutions that save them both time and cost.”

The system also features enhanced navigation package for the EASy II, including WAAS-LPV GPS guidance, Automatic Descent Mode (ADM), XM Graphical Weather integrated into the INAV map as well as ADS-B Out (Automatic Dependant Surveillance - Broadcast). To comply with the new data link mandates in Europe, two additional communication features are also available: FANS 1A and PM-CPDLC (Controller Pilot Data Link Communications). RUAG Aviation possesses the expertise and capability to install any of these options according to customers’ demands and requirements.

RUAG Aviation is a certified Part 21J EASA Design Organisation, Part 21G EASA Production Organisation and Part 145 EASA Maintenance Organisation.
