DC Aviation, with headquarters in Stuttgart,
recently obtained C14-Approval for repairing and maintaining the main and nose
wheels of aircraft.
The Company is now in a position to perform
all maintenance work required by the manufacturers with immediate effect. By
eliminating the need for outsourced services and related freight costs, DC
Aviation can now offer its customers optimized costs and down times.
“This expansion of our operating license
constitutes an ideal addition to our existing portfolio," said Vice President
Maintenance Oliver Weiss.
"We can now offer customers who participate in our fleet management program
together with third-party maintenance customers an additional attractive
service.”
Due to enormous stress and their crucial role
in safety, aircraft wheels require a significant amount of maintenance. DC
Aviation is now in a position to perform all of this maintenance work; from
wheel-change and repairs to complete overhaul.
In its special 5,000 m2 hangar at Stuttgart
Airport - and its certified maintenance facilities at Al Maktoum International
Airport (OMDW) in Dubai - DC Aviation now offers maintenance and overhaul
services for customers operating the Airbus-320 family, Bombardier Global,
Bombardier Challenger 605/604/350/300, Bombardier Learjet 60/45/40, Dassault
Falcon 7X/900, Gulfstream G650/550/450, Cessna Citation XLS and others.
The company owns a spare parts inventory worth
over 6.5 million Euros, special tools for certain aircraft, testing equipment,
and a Center for Maintenance Logistics. In addition to planned maintenance
programmes, DC Aviation has the flexibility to handle unexpected repairs, and
its full CAMO Certification meets all EASA airworthiness requirements.
