Daher introduced several new services at EBACE that underscore the TBM very fast turboprop family’s growing use in commercial flights.

"These European regulations, which enable the transportation of passengers aboard single-engine turboprop aircraft, opens up new market opportunities for the TBM, including the latest TBM 910 and TBM 930 versions,” commented Nicolas Chabbert, Senior Vice President of the Daher Airplane Business Unit.

“As a direct result, the current TBM commercial operators in Europe have increased their activity, carrying more passengers - especially in France where labor strikes have impacted the scheduled air transport sector,” Chabbert added. “Looking ahead, we understand the importance of continuing to educate the market about the single-engine turboprop aircraft’s excellent performance-to-cost ratio.”

To increase its market penetration, Daher is committed to responding to the key priorities of charter operators and their passengers: providing high levels of service, tailored documentation such as safety briefing cards, and more generally helping to achieve savings in terms of time and money.

High levels of service for TBM operators is significantly enhanced this year by Daher’s revolutionary new “Me & My TBM” smartphone application. This cloud-based app for Android and iOS leverages data that is automatically collected during every phase of flight. Among a large array of potential services, the app also enables the operator to manage a fleet of several aircraft.

The app also enables the operator to directly update aircraft counters on the CAMP system. In addition, advanced customer support is now possible at operators’ discretion, as the “Me & My TBM” app gives TBM Care teams the capability to access and analyze all flight parameters within an hour of a flight’s conclusion.

The app benefits from Daher’s positioning at the heart of digital transformation and its leadership in Industry 4.0. The company is committed to continually investing in the digital supply chain (automation, robotics, connected objects, predictive analytics, etc.) to offer innovative solutions for its customers, as well as developing proprietary tools that bring advances in productivity, real-time visibility and mobility.

The “Me & My TBM” application leverages Daher’s expertise in the field of big data to collect, process and analyze the more than four million datapoints generated each day by the TBM in-service fleet.

Available for all TBM 910 and TBM 930 Model Year 2018 aircraft, the “Me & My TBM” app can be downloaded from Google Play Store for Android phones and from Apple Store for iOS phones.

With Daher’s latest TBM 910 and TBM 930 versions, connectivity also reaches a new level with the implementation of Garmin’s Flight Stream 510 Wi-Fi and Bluetooth linkup system to mobile devices running Garmin Pilot or Foreflight apps.

Other new features on these Model Year 2018 aircraft are tailored for improved pilot interface. This includes backlighting on the cockpit’s central console to provide enhanced visibility at night for the manual trim, power lever, flaps lever and override controls. Additionally, a high-fidelity microphone has been incorporated into the pilot’s oxygen mask for clear communications with air traffic control when the mask is in use.
